KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 1, 2019) – Two new teams grabbed the top spots in their respective rankings as United Soccer Coaches released the latest rankings for all levels of the NCAA, Junior College and NCCAA men’s and women’s soccer on Tuesday.

Virginia jumped into the top spot in the NCAA Division I men’s rankings for the first time this season joining the Cavaliers women’s team, who sits atop the women’s poll for the third straight week.

In NCAA Division II, Adelphi is in the top spot in the men’s poll for the third straight week. Colorado-Colorado Springs is a perfect 8-0 on the year and climbed into the top spot in the women’s rankings for the first time this season.

At the NCAA Division III level, Tufts University continues its stay at the top of the men’s rankings, a spot the Jumbos have held the entire season, while Messiah College is holding down the No. 1 women’s ranking for the second straight week.

The men’s and women’s teams from Monroe College-New Rochelle continue to hold down the No. 1 spots in the Junior College Division I polls for the fourth straight week. The men’s team is 8-0 while the women are 6-0. There was no change at the top of the Junior College Division III polls either with the Mount San Antonio College men atop the rankings for the fourth straight week at 8-0 and the Lake Tahoe Community College women at No. 1 for the second straight week thanks to an 8-0-2 record.

There were no changes atop the latest NCCAA polls with Oklahoma Wesleyan continuing its stay at No. 1 in the Division I men’s poll as did Trinity Christian College in the women’s ranking. In Division II, Pensacola Christian College and Bob Jones University are No. 1 in the men’s and women’s rankings, respectively.

United Soccer Coaches college rankings, released every Tuesday during the regular season, are an indicator of the week-to-week status of qualified programs and in no way should be used as a guide or indicator of eligibility for championship selection. To be eligible for consideration in United Soccer Coaches college rankings, a school must be a member of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program.
