Director of Education Programs
The Director of Education Programs is the senior staff responsible for managing and executing all education content and master schedule for members, internal stakeholders and external stakeholders and represents Education on the CEO Leadership Team.
Representative Examples of Work Performed:
- Accomplish the Education objectives of United Soccer Coaches
- Strive to create a culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and service
- Direct the development, implementation, and management of the education budget
- Manage the Education master course schedule and content
- Develop the Convention Program
- Oversee the fulfillment of education deliverables for association agreements
- Direct the Career Management part time position and the content creators
- Collaborate with all National Office Staff and Departments
- Manage a relationship with the internal strategic growth team
- Manage the online eLearning ecosystem for the educational components
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Functions:
Maintain a thorough understanding of the budget and strive to create a culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and service. Educational programming and an eye for detail, along with meeting the Association’s needs, are key to essential work functions. Professional coaching instruction, travel, and working outside in all manners of weather are possible.
Working Conditions:
Most work is of an active nature with some sedentary nature requiring sitting at a desk using a computer, phone and other office equipment. Work requires attendance at the national Convention and possibly other Education events, typically resulting in travel. While a majority of work occurs in relation to a long term plan, this position will be required to be flexible to changing priorities and additional projects that can require additional hours worked and the ability to manage short-term and long-term deadlines. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule inclusive of nights, weekends, and holidays.
Performance Measures:
The following are key items that will be utilized to evaluate performance of the work:
- Management of and adherence to internal control procedures.
- Timeliness and accuracy of adherence to budget.
- Timely approval and submission of expenses.
- Ability to handle diverse projects concurrently.
- Completion of Educational content online, in-person, and in print.
- Effective working relationship with all staff members.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Education or closely related field with ten years of coaching education experience. Master’s Degree is preferred.
- Premier Diploma or USSF A license or equivalent.
- Ability to collaborate with staff, professional colleagues, and members.
- Ability to show a strong customer service aptitude; maintains a calm, solution-oriented demeanor in customer-facing situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly collaborative and enjoy working as part of a team in a rapid environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
- Strong problem solving skills, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis, multi-tasking skills, self-motivated and detail oriented.
Staff Accountant II
Job Summary: The Staff Accountant II works closely with the Chief Financial Officer and maintains financial records ensuring that the transactions are properly recorded by reconciling general ledger accounts. Works with the Chief Financial Officer to prepare Statements of Financial Position, Statements of Revenue and Expense, and other financial reports. Analyzes current expenses, revenues, and financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenue and expenses. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including all aspects of general accounting, revenue recognition, and journal entries.

- Perform timely and accurate reconciliations of accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements while ensuring that the Finance Department maintains proper internal controls.
Accounting Operations
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close of the relevant sections of the general ledger.
- Manage the accounts payable process, ensuring proper approval and on-time payment.
- Deposit, code, and review check receipts weekly.
- Monitor and analyze department activity to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy within budgetary constraints.
- Work with other departments to ensure the proper and timely recording of contracts and revenue recognition.
- Work with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
- Prepare, review, and post general journal entries.
- Maintain filing and document destruction policies.
Convention Registration Responsibilities
- Attend and assist with the attendee registration process at the annual United Soccer Coaches convention.
- Assist with the operational process of registration to ensure an excellent experience for the attendees.
Essential Functions: Maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger and ensure the association’s timely payment of obligations and the receipt, coding, and reconciliation of revenue.
Working Conditions: Most work is of a sedentary nature, sitting at a desk using a computer, phone, and other office equipment. Work requires attendance at the national convention and possibly other company events, typically resulting in about 1 week of travel annually. While a majority of work occurs in relation to a long-term plan, this position will be required to be flexible to changing priorities and additional projects that can require additional hours worked and the ability to manage short-term deadlines.
This position is located in Kansas City, Missouri and does not qualify for remote work.

- Experience with Community Brand’s MIP accounting system is preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
