KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 18, 2021) — United Soccer Coaches released the final regular season NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s National Rankings, sponsored by Verizon, on Tuesday. On the Division I men’s polls, Marshall took over the No. 1 spot and Santa Clara claimed the top spot on the women’s poll.

On the men’s side, Marshall took the No. 1 spot, while claiming their first national title. Following Marshall, Indiana took the No. 2 spot and Pittsburgh remained in third. No. 4 North Carolina jumped from its 16th rank last week and No. 5 Georgetown improved from its previous 7th rank last week. 

On the Division I women’s poll, Santa Clara claims the No. 1 spot, followed by Florida State at No. 2, and North Carolina at No. 3. Rounding out the Top 5, Virginia took over the fourth spot this week and TCU claimed No. 5.

United Soccer Coaches college rankings, released every Tuesday during the regular season, are an indicator of the week-to-week status of qualified programs and in no way should be used as a guide or indicator of eligibility for championship selection. To be eligible for consideration in United Soccer Coaches college rankings, a school must be a member of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program.
