KANSAS CITY, Mo. (February 9, 2023) – United Soccer Coaches is starting the process for selecting the next chairs of the Disabilities Allies Coaches Community and the Native American Coaches Community.

This is a three-year term with the possibility of a second three-year term. We are also seeking applicants for the position of vice chair and soliciting interest for members of these Coaches Communities to become active members of the strategic leadership teams. The terms become effective upon completion of this process and upon approval at the next United Soccer Coaches Board of Directors meeting.

The former Disabilities Allies Coaches Community Chair Kate Ward has resigned, and Dan Tuuri is now serving as Interim Chair. Chris Behler is serving as Interim Chair of the Native American Coaches Community.

If you are interested in becoming the Coaches Community Chair, please submit a cover letter and resume to communities@unitedsoccercoaches.org.

Once we receive the applications, we will review the applications and work with members of the strategic leadership team to select a Coaches Community Chair. This takes place under the leadership of the Advocacy Council Chair of the United Soccer Coaches Board or Directors, Dan Woog. It can include a sub-committee that consists of other Coaches Community Chairs and United Soccer Coaches Members with support from United Soccer Coaches National Office Staff. The recommendation is then submitted by the Advocacy Council Chair to the United Soccer Coaches Board of Directors for final approval.
