May 4, 2026 – The Intercollegiate Women’s Soccer Organization for Coaches (IWSOC) and United Soccer Coaches today announced a strategic alignment establishing distinct but collaborative roles in support of women’s college soccer.
The alignment reflects the evolving needs of women’s college soccer and shows a clear distinction between a leadership and representation organization focused specifically on the women’s college game and a broader professional association serving the coaching profession across all levels of soccer.
IWSOC will focus on leadership, legislative advocacy, strategic coordination, and stewardship within women’s college soccer. United Soccer Coaches will continue to focus on coaching education, professional development, networking, and services supporting the broader coaching profession.
“Women’s college soccer has continued to evolve in a rapidly changing collegiate athletics landscape. This alignment reflects the natural progression of work that many of us have been building for decades,” said G Guerrieri, CEO and co-founder of IWSOC.’Tm proud of the longstanding support United Soccer Coaches has provided to the college game and to our profession. This next step allows IWSOC to focus specifically on the leadership, representation, and long-term stewardship of women’s college soccer while continuing to work alongside an organization that has played an important role in the development of so many coaches.”
“United Soccer Coaches is excited about our new partnership with the Intercollegiate Women’s Soccer Organization for Coaches,” said Allison Pronske, United Soccer Coaches Managing Director.”This strategic alignment reflects our shared commitment to advancing women’s college soccer, with IWSOC leading in advocacy and stewardship while we continue to support coaches through education, professional development, and collaboration across the game.”
The organizations will continue to collaborate in areas where alignment benefits coaches, programs, and the broader women’s college soccer ecosystem while maintaining independent organizational responsibilities and respecting the governance structure of NCAA women’s soccer.
Additional details regarding collaborative initiatives and membership integration will be announced in the coming months.
