A Reminder About Youth Awards Nominations and Youth Awards Day

A message from Awards Committee Chair John Mayer, National Chair Youth Coach of the Year Louise Waxler, National Chair Youth Girls All-America Vicki Sanford, and National Chair Youth Boys All-America David Bokhart.

I hope this finds you and your family healthy and safe. We are preparing for the awards season and would like you to know what is available for your coaches and players to be recognized.

The Youth Regional and National Coach of Year (Boys and Girls), as well as the All-Region and All-America teams (Boys and Girls), will be announced on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

We are asking all members associated with youth soccer to nominate players and coaches.

  • Nominations for Youth Region and National Coach of the Year can be made by here: Youth Coach of the Year. Nominations close October 31, 2022.
  • Nominations for Youth All-Region and All-America can be made here: Youth All Region/All-America. Nominations close October 31, 2022.
  • Club Youth Player Award of Excellence: This award has been created to allow Member Clubs and other youth member coaches to honor one male and/or female player for exceptional contributions to his/her team, exemplifying the finest attributes of a team player. (Limit one boys and one girl’s player per club per season) Nominations can be made here: Youth Player Award of Excellence. Nominations are ongoing. 
  • Club Youth Coach Award of Excellence: This award has been created to allow Member Clubs the opportunity to honor one Boys and/or Girl’s coach for exceptional contributions to the team, club, and community. (Limit one boys  and one girls team coach per season) Nominations can be made here: Youth Coach Award of Excellence. Nominations are ongoing.
  • The Charlotte Moran Youth Long-Term Service Award, recognizing long-term service to United Soccer Coaches and youth soccer, is presented annually to a person who has raised youth soccer to new heights through his or her long-term dedication to the game.
