Lexi Missimo

Lexi Missimo led the Big 12 Conference in points (6) and points per game (3.00), while being tied for the lead in goals (2), goals per game (1.00), assists (2) and assists per game (1.00) last week. Against Houston, Missimo became the program’s single-season goals leader after passing Trinity Byars’ 2022 season total (17) with a goal less than five minutes into the match. She went on to add her nation-leading sixth penalty kick to push her season total to 19 goals. Throughout the second half against the Cougars, Missimo dished out two assists to push her season total up to 18. 

Jose Clemente Sierra Cenek

 

Jose Clemente collected seven points in another unbeaten week for the Golden Knights (1-0-1). He scored twice and tallied an assist in Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Daemen before netting another goal in a 3-3 draw with Assumption on Saturday. Clemente now sits on a streak of three straight matches in which he has recorded a multi-point effort.Sierra Cenek tallied 11 points on five goals and one assist in pair of GLVC wins last week. She recorded a hat trick and assist at Jewell for seven points in 77 minutes, taking seven shots with four on goal. Following up on her performance against Jewell, Cenak scored two goals at Rockhurst, taking twos shots with both on goal. In both games this week, Cenek registered game-winners and earned the first-ever GLVC Offensive Player of the Week Award for Illinois Springfield.

Oscar Horwitz Isabella O’Connell

 

Oscar Horwitz tied the program record for most goals in a single game this week with four goals against Johns Hopkins. Additionally, he tied the program record for most game-winning goals in a single season with seven.Isabella O’Connell was named the LEC Goalkeeper of the Week after turning away 25 of the 26 shots on goal she faced in a 1-0-1 week for the Beacons. She first totaled 13 saves in a scoreless draw with defending LEC champion Southern Maine before making 12 more stops in a 2-1 conference triumph over WestConn. O’Connell posted a .50 goals against average and a .962 save percentage over her 180 minutes of action.

Jovanny Mejia Yoseline Panduro

 

Jovanny Mejia scored one goal and had one assist in ECC’s 4-1 victory over Rio Hondo. On Friday, Mejia followed up that performance with an additional goal in ECC’s 2-0 win at East Los Angeles.Yoseline Panduro scored what would be the game-winning goal in ECC’s 4-2 win over Rio Hondo on Tuesday. She also added an assist on the team’s second goal that broke a 1-1 tie at the time. On Friday, she added another goal and assist on the road at East Los Angeles. 

Each Wednesday during the college regular season, United Soccer Coaches selects a men’s and women’s Player of the Week for NCAA Divisions I, II, and III and Junior College competition based on nominations from schools and conferences. Nominations are due every Tuesday by 10 a.m. CT to be considered.
