KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Feb 9, 2021) – United Soccer Coaches announced its College Player of the Week awards on Tuesday afternoon with two student-athletes representing NCAA Divisions I & II.

NCAA Division I Men: Dylan Borczak (Oakland)
NCAA Division II Women: Ashley Merrill (Dallas Baptist University)

Oakland senior midfielder Dylan Borczak (Detroit, Mich.) had a hat trick and one assist last week in a 5-0 win against Robert Morris. Borczak also received Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Dallas Baptist freshman midfielder Ashley Merrill (Frisco, Texas) set a freshman school record in her collegiate debut with a hat trick and one assist in a 6-0 win against Harding University.

Each Tuesday during the college regular season, United Soccer Coaches selects a men’s and women’s Player of the Week for NCAA Divisions I, II, and III and Junior College competition based on nominations from schools and conferences. Nominations are due every Tuesday by 10 a.m. CT to be considered.
