College rankings showcase the top teams at all levels

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 11, 2018) – United Soccer Coaches released the regional and national rankings for men’s and women’s soccer competing in the NCAA, NJCAA and NCCAA on Tuesday.

Wake Forest sits at No. 1 in the Division I men’s poll for the third straight week, while defending national champion Stanford continues its stronghold on top of the women’s poll thanks to a 6-0 start to the season.

Midwestern State took over the top spot in the NCAA Division II men’s poll thanks to a 3-0 start, while defending national champion Central Missouri is 4-0 and stays atop the women’s poll.

At the NCAA Division III level, Messiah College sits atop the men’s poll with a 3-0-1 start. On the women’s side, Williams College holds down the top spot after a 3-0 start to the season.

The men’s team at Tyler Junior College continues to hold down the No. 1 ranking in NJCAA Division I with a 5-0 start, while Eastern Florida State College moved up from No. 2 to claim the top spot in the women’s poll. In NJCAA Division III, Taft College moved up to No. 1 thanks to a 4-0 start and Cerritos College jumped two spots to take over the No. 1 ranking in the women’s poll.

At the NCCAA Division I level Southwestern Christian University is 5-0 on the year and earns the No. 1 ranking in the men’s poll while Biola University is the top-ranked team in the women’s poll. In Division II, Pensacola Christian College earned the men’s top spot, while Johnson University claimed the No. 1 ranking in the women’s poll.

United Soccer Coaches college rankings, released every Tuesday during the regular season, are an indicator of the week-to-week status of qualified programs and in no way should be used as a guide or indicator of eligibility for championship selection. To be eligible for consideration in United Soccer Coaches college rankings, a school must be a member of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program.
