Wake Forest reclaim No. 1 in latest college rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 16, 2018) – Wake Forest moved back into the No. 1 spot, a couple of new No. 1’s in the Men’s NCAA Division III, and NJCAA Division I rankings as United Soccer Coaches released the latest set of rankings for men’s and women’s college soccer on Tuesday.

Wake Forest reclaims the No. 1 spot in the Division I men’s poll, while Stanford remains atop the women’s ranking, where they have been all season.

Simon Fraser remains atop the NCAA Division II men’s rankings, while Grand Valley State remains as the No. 1 team in the women’s poll.

At the NCAA Division III level, the Men’s Messiah College are the new No. 1, while the Women’s Washington University (Mo.) holds down the No. 1 ranking on the women’s side for the fourth consecutive week.

Marshalltown Community College is the new No. 1 in the NJCAA Men’s Division I ranking for this week, while Navarro College does the same in the women’s poll. In NJCAA Division III, Cerritos College continue to hold the No.1 spot in both the men’s and women’s rankings.

At the NCCAA Division I level Oklahoma Wesleyan stayed put at No. 1 in the men’s poll as did Trinity Christian College in the women’s ranking for the fifth straight week. In NCCAA Division II, Bob Jones University took over as the new No. 1 ranking in the men’s poll, while Bob Jones University continue their reign to the No. 1 spot on the women’s side.

United Soccer Coaches college rankings, released every Tuesday during the regular season, are an indicator of the week-to-week status of qualified programs and in no way should be used as a guide or indicator of eligibility for championship selection. To be eligible for consideration in United Soccer Coaches college rankings, a school must be a member of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program.
