KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Jan. 7, 2020) — United Soccer Coaches and USA Today High School Sports released the first boys’ and girls’ winter season soccer polls on Tuesday.

Lee (San Antonio, Texas) jumped five spots from the preseason poll to sit atop the boys’ poll, while Doral Prep Academy (Doral, Fla.) is No. 2 with a 10-0-0 record. Montgomery (Santa Rosa, Calif.) is sitting in third at 10-0-0, while St. Paul’s School (Covington, La.) sits in the No.4 spot with a 14-0-1 record. Alief Elsik (Houstan, Tex.) climbed five spots to round out the boys’ top five.

Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) sits atop the girls’ poll thanks to an 8-0-0 start to the season. Upland (Upland, Calif.) is second boasting a 12-0-0 record, while Coppell (Coppell, Tex.) is in the No. 3 spot also remaining undefeated. No. 4, JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) sports a 10-1 record, while Archbishop McCarthy (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) rounds out the girls’ top five.
