KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 24, 2023) – United Soccer Coaches announced on Wednesday the release of its 2023 compensation survey. This survey, the first released from the association since 2018, aims to understand the national landscape of how soccer coaches are compensated.

“The compensation survey is an excellent resource for coaches that can serve as a baseline for future discussions and negotiations,” said Geoff VanDeusen, United Soccer Coaches CEO. “We’re asking for participation from all soccer coaches, paid and volunteer, in order to paint the best picture of coach compensation. Through widespread participation, the experiences of coaches around the nation can be heard.”

The association hopes to beat its previous participation record of over 2,300 coaches. This survey is open to all coaches, at all levels of the game. Divided up to accommodate the unique situations of each level, the salary will first identify your primary coaching level and produce questions that best fit your pay structure.

The survey will gather information about everyone’s coaching and education background, location and compensation structure. In protecting the respondents’ anonymity, the survey does not ask for names of individuals or programs.

This survey will remain open until 11:59PM CST on Monday, June 19. After the close date, the survey results will be compiled and an abstract with the survey’s findings will be published.
