KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 12, 2021) — United Soccer Coaches released the latest fall high school boys’ and girls’ soccer rankings, sponsored by Verizon, on Tuesday. As the fight for the top spot on the girls’ poll continues, Bearden (Knoxville, Tenn.), Bishop Guertin (Nashua, N.H.), and Edina (Edina, Minn.) tie for first this week, while St. Ignatius (Cleveland, Ohio) remains atop the boys’ poll.
On the boys’ poll, the Top 3 saw no change, with St. Ignatius (Cleveland, Ohio) in first, St. Benedict’s Prep (Newark, N.J.) in second, and Somers (Lincolndale, N.Y.) in third. Arapahoe (Littleton, Colo.) and Marquette University High (Milwaukee, Wis.) each ascended one spot to claim No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Three teams tied for first atop the Girls’ poll this week: Bearden (Knoxville, Tenn.), Bishop Guertin (Nashua, N.H.), and Edina (Edina, Minn.). Rounding out the Top 5 are previously unranked Beaverton (Beaverton, Ore.) in fourth and previously No. 15 ranked Mars Area (Mars, Pa.) in fifth.
