KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 29, 2019) – United Soccer Coaches announced its College Player of the Week awards on Tuesday afternoon with seven student-athletes representing all three NCAA divisions, and one representative from the junior college ranks, being honored.

NCAA Division I Men: Garrett McLaughlin (SMU)
NCAA Division I Women: Ally Watt (Texas A&M)
NCAA Division II Men: Georg Cholewa (Western Washington)
NCAA Division II Women: Annie Rolf (West Florida)
NCAA Division III Men: Jack Kingdon (Castleton)
NCAA Division III Women: Alex Berkley (DePauw)
Junior College Men: Sebastian Karlholm (Butte College)

SMU senior forward Garrett McLaughlin (Oklahoma City, Okla.) had a record-setting week for the Mustangs as he tied a 39-year old school record with five goals in a game. He also added an assist for 11 points last week. Texas A&M senior forward Ally Watt (Colorado Springs, Colo.) scored six of the seven goals last week as the Aggies went 2-0. She scored both goals in a 2-1 overtime win at Vanderbilt and then set a school record with four goals in a win over Missouri.

Western Washington junior midfielder Georg Cholewa (Leipzig, Germany) had a hand in all four goals for WWU last week. He scored two goals, including a game-winner, and dished out two assists in a pair of 2-1 wins. Annie Rolf (West Sussex, England), a junior forward from West Florida scored two goals and dished out two assists in a pair of wins.

Jack Kingdon (Woodbury, Conn.), a senior midfielder for Castleton University scored four of his teams five goals last week, including both game-winners as the Spartans went 2-0. DePauw senior midfielder Alex Berkley (Evanston, Ill.) had a hand in all four goals for the Tigers last week scoring three times, including both game-winners, and dishing out one assist.

Sebastian Karlholm (Uppsala, Sweden), a sophomore defender for Butte College had one assist and anchored a defense that recorded a pair of shutouts last week.

Each Tuesday during the college regular season, United Soccer Coaches selects a men’s and women’s Player of the Week for NCAA Divisions I, II, and III and Junior College competition based on nominations from schools and conferences. Nominations are due every Tuesday by 10 a.m. CT to be considered.
