Rankings released for NCAA DI, NCAA DII and junior college teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 4, 2018) – United Soccer Coaches released the regional and national rankings for NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and junior college soccer programs on Tuesday.

Wake Forest holds down the No. 1 spot in the Division I men’s poll for the second straight week, while defending national champion Stanford continues its stronghold on top of the women’s poll. Lynn University took over the top spot in the first NCAA Division II men’s regular season rankings, while defending national champion Central Missouri is atop the women’s poll.

The men’s team at Tyler Junior College holds the No. 1 ranking in the first poll of the NJCAA Division I season, while Phoenix College moved up from No. 2 to claim the top spot in the women’s poll. Fresno City College claimed the top spot in the NJCAA Division III women’s ranking.

Note: The NJCAA Division III men’s regional and national rankings will be released on Wednesday.

United Soccer Coaches college rankings are an indicator of the week-to-week status of qualified programs and in no way should be used as a guide or indicator of eligibility for championship selection. To be eligible for consideration in United Soccer Coaches college rankings, a school must be a member of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program.

The next college rankings will be released on Tuesday, Sept. 11 and will also include the first rankings for NCAA Division III and NCCAA programs.
