CeCe Kizer of Ole Miss named United Soccer Coaches Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Aug. 21, 2018) – Ole Miss senior midfielder CeCe Kizer (Overland Park, Kan.) has been named the United Soccer Coaches Division I Player of the Week for the first week of the 2018 season, the association announced on Tuesday.

Kizer scored four goals and dished out one assist for nine points in 89 minutes played as the Rebels went 2-0 to open the season. In the season-opener against Louisiana she had a goal and assist before registering the second hat trick of her career in a win over Western Kentucky.

Each Tuesday during the college regular season, United Soccer Coaches selects a men’s and women’s Player of the Week for NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III and junior college competition based on nominations from schools and conferences. Nominations are due every Tuesday by 10 a.m. CT to be considered.
