No. 1 remains the same for boys’ and girls’ poll in latest high school rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 16, 2018)  – United Soccer Coaches and USA TODAY High School Sports released the latest set of boys and girls regular season soccer polls in the USA TODAY/United Soccer Coaches Super 25 Fall Rankings on Tuesday. There’s a shift in the top five teams in the girls’ poll this week, while the boys’ top three teams remain the same.

The girls’ poll saw a shift in the second through fifth-ranked teams. Jesuit (Portland, Ore.) remains in the top spot in the rankings with a 12-0-0 record. Beavercreek (Beavercreek, Ohio) is the new No. 2 team at 16-0-0, while Newton South (Newton, Mass.), Spencerport (Spencerport, N.Y.) and Cumberland Valley (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) round out the top five.

St. Benedict’s Prep in Newark, N.J. continues its hold on the No. 1 spot in the boys’ rankings with a 12-0-0 record. Naperville North (Naperville, Ill.) is 19-0-0 on the year and is No. 2 again this week. Trinity (Louisville, Ky.) is third for the third straight week, while Nauset Regional (Eastham, Mass.) moves into the No. 4 spot and Smithtown West (Smithtown, N.Y.) moved into the top five this week.
