The Black Coaches Advocacy Group distributes a newsletter to keep its members up to date on news, deadlines, and other association happenings. The newsletter also serves to let members know what the group is working on, highlighting group members and information on how you can get involved. Below is a letter from group chair Nicole Hercules. To read the full newsletter, click the button below.

Soccer Family,

I hope you are all having a Happy New Year! I know I am because we are less than a week away from the United Soccer Coaches Convention in person for the first time in 2 years. Are you registered to join us?!!! We have a lot to celebrate, including you!

  • We will celebrate our 25th anniversary as the Black Soccer Advocacy Group at our Social with a live band, food and drinks!! You will not want to miss it, and all are welcome to join us.
  • Our group is featured in 24 sessions listed below.
  • Former Black Excellence Award Winner Kimberly Crabbe will receive the Youth Coach of the Year Award. Stanley Harmon will receive the Advocacy Council’s Award of Excellence.
  • We have had a record number of coaches of the year, staff of the year, division championship, national championships at the youth club, high school and college ranks. The likes of Keidane McAlpine, Kia McNeal, and Eric Bell, just to name a select few.
  • And be sure not to miss the Professional Development Course Series with Mike Curry and Rob Smith and the Urban Diploma with JT Dorsey.

It’s the perfect time to build your network, and most importantly grow and develop as a coach. Connect with us now to learn how you can contribute to our group. Do you have any special skills that could help us as a community? We would love to hear from you.

Looking ahead, we’ll have quarterly open meetings, plus a Digital Juneteenth Symposium!
