Seventeen New Teams in Latest Spring High School Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 21, 2019) – United Soccer Coaches and USA TODAY High School Sports released today the sixth and final regular season polls in the USA TODAY/United Soccer Coaches Super 25 Rankings for boys and girls high school soccer in the spring season.

Seventeen new teams joined the rankings this week with a new team taking over the top spot and three new teams entering the top five in the girls’ poll.

Vestavia Hills (Vestavia Hills, Ala.) took over the top spot in the girls’ rankings with a 23-0-0 record this season. Pincrest (Southern Pines, N.C.) moved up two spots from fourth to No. 2 while Novi (Novi, Mich.), St. Joseph’s Academy (St. Louis, Mo.) and Grandview (Aurora, Colo.) moved into the top five this week.

Dalton High School in Dalton, Ga. continues to sit atop the boys’ poll with an 23-0-0 record with Jenks (Jenks, Okla.) sitting No. 2 for the third straight week with an 18-0-0 mark. Wando (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) moved all the way up to No. 3 this week with a 27-2-1 record. Lambert (Suwanee, Ga.) moved back into the top five at No. 4 and The Westminster Schools (Atlanta, Ga.) sit fifth.

The final spring season rankings are set to be released on Tuesday, June 18.
