Dear Members,
The Board of Directors apologizes for the delay in finalizing plans for the election process. The transition to the revised Bylaws has taken more time than anticipated.
On the advice of the Association’s legal counsel, the Board created a new election timeline, which is included below. This will allow previous self-nominees to remain in consideration while also allowing anyone who may have missed previous deadlines to submit a self-nomination.
The Election Committee is responsible for collecting and vetting all self-nominated applications. The Board is not involved in this process.
The Elections Committee will follow the steps below to ensure the thorough evaluation of all applications:
- Review, discuss, and evaluate all applications, those already received and those that may be received during the extension for self-nominations
- Utilize a standard evaluation rubric to identify top candidates
- Check References
- Finalize the ballot and notify candidates
Elections Timeline:
- Self-nominations reopen on March 31st and stay open until 11:59 PM CDT on April 4th.
- The Elections Committee reviews self-nominations, selects candidates, and contacts all self-nominees no later than April 9th.
- Voting opens on April 16th.
- Elections Close April 23rd at 11:59 PM CDT.
- All candidates will be contacted with the election results by April 25th.
- Newly elected officers are announced no later than 5:30 pm CDT on April 25th.

Note: In the next issue of the Soccer Journal, Mike Lynch addresses our members as the Association’s incoming President. After the Journal’s publication, Mike resigned from the Board and removed his self-nomination from the 2025 elections.
