KANSAS CITY, Mo. (June 17, 20121) — United Soccer Coaches announced the 2020-21 Junior College Men’s and Women’s All-America Teams on Thursday. Fifty-one total student-athletes (25 men’s players and 26 women’s players) were named to the All-America Teams.
For this year’s Junior College Men’s and Women’s All-America Teams all three divisions were combined to produce one All-America team for men and one All-America team for women.
Among the 25 student-athletes on the men’s list, Laramie County Community College’s Omar Castruita is the only player earning All-America Honors for the second time in his career.
On the women’s side, three out of the 26 student-athletes named to the team are earning All-America honors for the second time in their careers: Delta College’s Claire Rousse, Rowan College South Jersey-Gloucester’s Leigh Swietanski, and Tyler Junior College’s Mukarama Abdulai.
This year’s All-Americans will be recognized as part of the United Soccer Coaches College Awards Ceremony, which will be made available to view online as a digital event beginning June 30.
