Fall High School Awards – October
Now that the dust has settled with school opening back up, (in different ways), the fall sports season is taking shape. Seven states have moved their seasons to the spring. The rest of the states are playing soccer in many ways. Some have kept their seasons intact, some have shortened season, some always have the players wearing masks, some have limited rosters, and some have lost their State Tournaments.
Below are awards that we encourage High School coaches to participate in to help recognize players and fellow coaches.
High School All-America: The National Chairs and Region Chairs will be getting the State Chairs information to be able to start the processes for each state to do their nominations and voting.
High School Coach of the Year: The National Chairs and Region Chairs will be in touch with state chairs for the deadlines to have this process finished.
Assistant Coach of the Year: This is a great opportunity to recognize that coach that is always on the sidelines with an extra word of encouragement and extra set of eyes to spur on your players. High School Rankings: They are up and running.
Player of the Week: For a player to be nominated, their coach must enter the athlete’s game stats into MaxPreps.com by Sunday evening to be eligible for that week. Coaches, to obtain an access code to enter stats for your team, please contact MaxPreps at (800) 329-7324 x1 or email coachsupport@maxpreps.com.
Senior Excellence Award: Here is a way to honor a senior student-athlete based on exceptional contributions to the team while exemplifying the finest attributes of a high school student-athlete. If your season is played, you will be limited to one nominee per team. CLICK HERE
Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award: Your team can be recognized for their sportsmanship in one for four levels. There is a minimum number of matches that need to be played. (either 10 or the minimum to qualify for state play-offs). This will be open on Oct. 15 and close for the fall season teams on Dec. 15. CLICK HERE
Coaching Milestones Awards: Please send us a notice that you have won your 100th, 200th, 300th, etc. match. We want to recognize you with a certificate. CLICK HERE
