The United Soccer Coaches Coaches Communities, formerly known as Advocacy Groups, were created to accommodate the space of who you are as a coach. Our Coaches Communities bring forward a safe environment to network with fellow coaches, find mentorship and leadership opportunities, and advance the game of soccer in the great community. While we all come from different backgrounds, United Soccer Coaches works to unite all coaches around the love of the game.
Each Coaches Community has a variety of sub-committees that allow coaches to take part in areas of the association that interest them, including Convention Planning, Education, Awards, Scholarships & Grants, Content and News, as well as an Advocacy sub-committee. The Advocacy sub-committee focuses on the specific needs of the members they represent and all Advocacy sub-committees come together to form the Advocacy Council, dedicated to uplifting the voices of our coaches. If you are interested in getting involved in the association and have a desire to give back, then our Coaches Communities are a great way to get your foot in the door and be apart of something bigger:
- Coaches Communities are a great way to connect with other coaches in the association that share a common focus. Many coaches get involved in multiple communities! Allies are always welcome to participate too.
- Each Coaches Community is made of sub-committees that focus on specific needs of the communities, i.e. Convention Planning, Education, Advocacy, etc. These sub-committees work together to represent the membership, identify the needs of that Community’s coaches and work to bring change for the betterment of coaches.
- Our Coaches Communities also serve as a pathway to leadership in the association. There are opportunities to serve on a Community’s sub-committee or become the group’s Chair.
- Through this pathway, members will gain a wider knowledge of the association and its members. This is an excellent pathway for anyone wishing to run for the Board of Directors or become more involved by serving on acommittee in the future.
