Women Coaches Community

Purpose Statement

To advocate for women coaches and the women’s game and to support United Soccer Coaches’ mission to enhance, encourage, and contribute to the development and recognition of soccer coaches and their players.

History

The Women Coaches Community (formerly the Women’s Committee) was established in 1991 to be a powerful voice in United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA), to promote the women’s game and to represent all levels of women in coaching – from youth to the national level. Today, the Women Coaching Community operates as part of the United Soccer Coaches Advocacy Council. Women Coaches boasts a growing membership and sees turnout at the annual open meeting increase every year. We seek to retain legitimacy, credibility, and consistency within United Soccer Coaches and are seeking representation at all levels of the women’s game. All youth, high school, college and professional coaches or women are welcome to join our membership-at-large.

Get Involved

Are you a passionate advocate for the women’s game? We encourage you to sign up to be involved in one of our task forces! Our goals are simple:

  1. Enhance the Membership Experience
  2. Recruit & Promote Female Membership
  3. Develop Women Coaches
  4. Recognize and Celebrate Excellence in the Women’s Game

Moms Who Coach Initiative

The #MomsWhoCoach initiative exists to support and keep moms in the game as they encounter unique challenges. We are club coaches, high school coaches, college coaches, and pro coaches who support and encourage each other, network with one another, participate in calls, pool and share resources, and have a lot of fun connecting in person at various soccer events and at United Soccer Coaches Convention each year.

Whether you are looking for tips on how to juggle your responsibilities, some words of encouragement when the load seems too heavy, ideas on how to handle tricky situations, or simply want to be inspired by other #MomsWhoCoach – connect with us!
