Advocacy Council

About the Advocacy Council

The role of the Advocacy Council will be to advocate for issues in the game and Association that affect our membership. The Advocacy Council will provide accountability and oversight for the Coaches Communites. They will advise both the Board of Directors and the professional staff on the needs and the desires of the membership at large.

The Advocacy Council will be composed of representatives from the following: Asian/Pacific Islander Coaches, Black Coaches, Disabilities Allies, Faith-Based Coaches, Latino Coaches, LGBTQ+ & Allies, Native American Coaches, Women Coaches, and the Advocacy Council Chair.

The Advocacy Council shall be led by the Advocacy Council Chair who shall serve as a member on the Board of Directors and as a liaison to the Professional Staff for the Council.

The Advocacy Council and Coaches Communities will create and expand opportunities for members to serve on committees, task forces, or take other leadership roles within United Soccer Coaches.
