Join us in Kansas City, October 25-27, 2024, for a comprehensive coaching experience combining online learning with hands-on in-person sessions, designed to advance your soccer coaching expertise.
The Advanced National Diploma emphasis is on training those players within a team concept designed to produce a successful environment. The curriculum includes team organization and training, advanced methodology, analysis and understanding systems of play, a focus on tactics within thirds of the field, technical position overviews, match analysis, and the psychological aspect of coaching.

Our blended format allows coaches to earn United Soccer Coaches Diplomas in the most time-friendly way possible.
Phase 1: Online Resources
Upon registration, you’ll gain access to online content to work through at your own pace. This includes sessions and lessons from some of the top coaches in America. You’ll receive the access link once the course meets the minimum registration requirements.
Phase 2: Virtual Classrooms
Phase 3: In-Person
The in-person weekend of October 25-27, 2024, in Kansas City, KS, will provide hands-on instruction, demonstrations, and all course testing. Attendance is required for all coaches registering for this course.
Phase 2 Call Schedule
All coaches should be finished with their Phase 1 assignment journal and have it submitted to education@unitedsoccercoaches.org no later than Monday evening, September 23 rd to participate in the Phase 2 calls. Attendance on all three (3) calls is mandatory for successful completion of the course. Please make sure you are registered for each call a minimum of 24 hrs. prior to the start of the session. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the call if not enough coaches are preregistered.

What are the prerequisites for this course?
You must have a National Diploma, U.S. Soccer ‘D’ or ‘C’ License.
What is the cost of the course?
The course costs $1,000. Non-members of United Soccer Coaches will be charged an additional $150 for membership when registering.
How many hours of class are required?
The course requires 40 hours of class time across three phases.
When should I arrive for the course?
All course participants should arrive on Friday, October 25th, in time to check-in between 1:00-2:00 pm.
When should I plan to depart?
Candidates should plan departure no earlier than 4:30 pm on Sunday, October 27th.
What is the age requirement to attend the course?
You must be at least 18 years old to attend.

Are there any travel arrangements I should be aware of?
Please do not make any travel arrangements until you have received written notice from the United Soccer Coaches National Office confirming the course will proceed as planned.
Who is responsible for transportation to and from Kansas City, KS?
Transportation to and from Kansas City, KS is the responsibility of each candidate.
When should I plan my arrival and departure?
Plan to arrive on Friday, October 25th, in time to check-in between 1:00-2:00 pm. Departure should be planned no earlier than 4:30 pm on Sunday, October 27th.
Are meals provided during the course?
No, meals are not provided. Coaches will be responsible for all meals during the course.
What should I bring to the course?
Be prepared for rain and consider bringing sunscreen and caps. Bring shin guards, a notebook, pens, pencils, practice gear, a training suit, a rain suit, soccer shoes, flats, a water bottle, and optionally, a soccer ball.
Is lodging provided for this course?
Lodging is not provided. However, there are several housing options near Compass Minerals National Performance Center and the Legends Outlets of Kansas City.
What safety precautions should I take?
United Soccer Coaches reminds all candidates to have their own insurance coverage, as they are not responsible for medical payments for injuries during the course. Shin guards are required for practical sessions, and those participating without them do so at their own risk.
