Commitment to Culture Toolkit

Thank you for signing the Commitment to Culture.

Share your pledge with the soccer community with this toolkit.

The following free resources were created as tools for you to help build a unique, positive soccer playing culture—starting with your team, club/organization. Please feel free to use what works best for your unique circumstances as a coach, while also keeping in mind that coaches across the nation are joining you in building the culture of the game we love.

Flyer – Share this with your coaches, club, organization, players, families and fans. Print it off and post it in common areas; have a copy framed in each coach’s office; put a copy in your new player packets, etc.

Commitment Certificate – Each year, clubs and organizations should consider printing this off and having your coaches sign this certificate (perhaps during hiring, contract renewals, etc.) to demonstrate accountability for how they will positively shape the culture of their team, club/organization, and greater culture across the nation.

Social Media Graphics While sharing the graphics and messaging from United Soccer Coaches is a great way to show your support, we encourage you to use these social media and web graphics on your own media to demonstrate your commitment and highlight how your coaches, club/organization, etc. are living these seven cornerstones.

Internal Announcement (sample) – We encourage you to get your coaches, staff, and stakeholders together to discuss the Commitment to Culture to educate and build support, prior to communicating externally (e.g. media, families, fans, etc.)

PowerPoint Slides (sample) Need help gaining buy-in from your board, executive leaders, etc.? Here is a presentation with slides (and notes) that might help in making the case for this cultural change in your club/organization.

Press Release (sample) – Use this release as a starting point for your club/organization to create some positive media coverage as you commit to positively impacting the game.

Bookmark—you will be able to purchase these and other items, such as posters, at a low cost, so that you may fully integrate your Commitment to Culture in every facet of your team and club/organization.
