Final high school rankings released for winter season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 24, 2018) – United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA) and USA TODAY High School Sports released today the first national polls in the USA TODAY/United Soccer Coaches rankings for boys and girls high school soccer in the winter season.

Texas state champions Alief Elsik (Houston, Texas) take the No. 1 ranking in the boys’ poll, finishing the season unbeaten at 22-0-2 under head coach Vincenzo Cox. On the girls’ side, Florida state champion St. Johns Country Day School (Orange Park, Fla) claim the top spot with a perfect 26-0-0 season under head coach Mike Pickett.
