NSCAA Membership Groups

The mission of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America is to develop and to deliver educational programming and events that inspire members to improve and to enhance their involvement in soccer. The NSCAA will activate a network of coaches, and others, involved in the sport who will take responsibility for advancing soccer in the greater community. With our mission in mind, the NSCAA has developed 12 membership groups to celebrate and recognize the work done by coaches with varying backgrounds and to help grow participation rates for coaches within these specific groups. 

Current Membership Groups are:

Black Soccer Coaches Membership Group

The Black Soccer Coaches Group (BSCG) began as Diversity Group within the NSCAA to bring about changes in the African America Community and to support the work of its members. One main focus of the group is to educate it members, which will eventually bring about an increase in its membership. The investment made today, will bring about more success in the future of all coaches of color throughout the United States. The BSCG is not exclusive to only coaches of color; all races are welcome.

College Soccer Coaches Membership Group

The College Soccer Coaches Groups have been formed to promote and serve coaches in all divisions within the college game. The group is committed to the integration of its members into the NSCAA soccer community and to the promotion of the college game at all levels. 

High School Coaches Membership Group

The High School Soccer Coaches Groups have been formed to address the issues in and around the High School game and to support the coaches involved at this level. 

Latin American Soccer Coaches Membership Group

The Latin-American Soccer Coaches Group (LASCMG) was created with the purpose of promoting and developing Latin American coaches. Providing opportunities for coaching education in Latin American communities at all levels and in Spanish. To provide opportunities for top Latin American coaches to share experiences and grow the game.

La Entrenadores Latinoamericana Fútbol Grupo de Defensa ( LASCMG ) fue creado con el propósito de promover y desarrollar entrenadores latinoamericanos. Proporcionar oportunidades para entrenar la educación en las comunidades latinoamericanas en todos los niveles y en español . Proporcionar oportunidades para los mejores entrenadores de América Latina para compartir experiencias y hacer crecer el juego.

LGBTQ Coaches Membership Group

The LGBT Group was formed to raise awareness of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) issues in soccer for coaches and players of all sexual orientations; to educate NSCAA members about these issues; to provide help and support around LGBT issues for all NSCAA members, and to provide a safe, supportive environment for LGBT coaches and players. 

Native American Soccer Coaches Membership Group

The Native American Soccer Coaches Group serves Native American communities throughout the United States by providing positive youth development leaders, coaching education opportunities, using soccer as a means to promote health and wellness, youth leadership and life skills in Native American Communities. 

Our goal is to use soccer as a vehicle to promote character, integrity, leadership, respect and teamwork. We believe that by expanding coaching education to reservations and pueblos throughout the U.S. we will be able to move in a concerted effort to increase the level of coaching we provide and serve as positive role models for the children we serve.

Professional Coaches Membership Group

The Professional Soccer Coaches Group represents coaches in the professional and international game. Works to promote coaches and the game at these levels, while also creating best practices and setting standards for all in the game.

Women's Membership Group

The Women’s Group (formally the Women’s Committee) was established in 1991 to be a powerful voice in the NSCAA, to promote the women’s game and to represent all levels of women in coaching. In 2008 the committee shifted direction to be dedicated to all coaches of women, to educate, recognize, develop and serve as advocates for the women’s game. In 2014 committee went through the process of restructuring of the committee in order to be clear about its purpose and to organize in a way to get more members involved. 

Youth Soccer Coaches Membership Group

The Youth Soccer Coaches Groups have been formed to address the issues in the Youth game and to support the coaches involved at this level.
