2017 High School Coach of the Year
Jay Anderson, Hellgate HS (Missoula, Mont.)


Has coached at the high school level for 19 years, the last 15 years as the head coach for Hellgate High School in Missoula, Montana.  Team record during that time period has been 140-56-30.  Hellgate High has won the last three state titles in a row (2015-16-17) and four championships overall.  Hellgate has also qualified for the state tournament 10 of the last 11 years.  Before taking over as the head coach at Hellgate, the school had only qualified for the state tournament twice in school history.  Anderson named Montana State Coach of the Year in 2011, 2016, and 2017, and received Central Region coach of the year honors in 2016 and 2017.
