Player of the Year

The NSCAA selects and presents Player of the Year Awards at the Senior College, Junior College, High School and Youth levels for both genders.  These include National Players of the Year at each level and National Scholar Players of the Year at the Senior College, Junior College and High School levels.

The awards are a part of the All-America selection process and the winners are selected by the All-America Committees (National and Regional Chairs) at each level from the final All-America teams.  The exception is NCAA Division I Men and Women.  Those players are selected in a balloting of Division I head coaches who are members of the NSCAA College Services program and the winners are named the recipients of the annual Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy.

States that have a recognized soccer coaches association and/or an approved system for selecting players of the year for high school soccer are also eligible to have one boy and one girl recognized as State Player of the Year if their coach is a member of the NSCAA.  The Association presents two plaques, one for the individual and one for the school.
