LGBTQ & Allies Advocacy Group

United Soccer Coaches is committed to helping all members learn the importance of inclusion of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) community; encourage participation in all activities by LGBTQ coaches, athletes, referees, administrators and fans; and welcome all allies in our organization’s ongoing effort to be a leader of inclusion in the sports world. This page is intended to provide members of this community and allies with resources to help you with any questions you may have and to give you support wherever needed.

2021 Pride Month

An excerpt from the LGBTQ & Allies June 2021 Newsletter

Welcome to Pride Month!

June is when LGBTQ people – and their allies – celebrate gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender life. There are parades, parties and concerts. Plus of course Pride Days and Nights, at soccer matches across the country.

As chair of United Soccer Coaches’ LGBTQ & Allies advocacy group, I have plenty to be proud of.

– Dan Woog, LGBTQ & Allies Advocacy Group Chair

On June 16th, 2021 Kaig Lightner talked with guest Bethany Cyrtmus of FC Austin Elite on the @LGBTQCoaches Instagram. You can watch the recording by clicking the button below.
