Latino Coaches Advocacy Group

Mission:

To advocate for Latino coaches in the game in support of United Soccer Coaches mission to enhance, encourage and contribute to the development and recognition of Latino soccer coaches and their players

Areas of focus:

  • Enhance the Latino membership experience
  • Recruit and promote Latino leadership
  • Develop the Latino coaches environment
  • Recognize and celebrate excellence by Latino coaches, players, administrators in the game

Enhancement:

Team leader: Pedro Oliveira (Connecticut)

Enhancement Team Leader will lead the content-driven portion of the group.  Working with the Chair and members to create, build and catalog content to move through various outlets.

Recruitment:

Team Leader: John Orozco (Ohio, Michigan)

Recruitment Team Leader focus is on the recruitment and retention of coaches for present and future commissions within the LAC

Development:

Team leader: Loy Urbina (Massachusetts)

Development Team Leader is tasked with creating meaningful experiences for Latino/a coaches through environments crafted and created for Latino/a coaches

Recognition:

Team Leader: Gabriel Renteria (Florida)

Recognition Team Leader will create additional spotlights to celebrate and of recognition for Latino/a coaches in the game.

Award of Excellence

The Latino Coaches Advocacy Group has established an annual Award of Excellence to recognize an individual, organization, group or other entity who has demonstrated extraordinary accomplishment in the Latin soccer community.
